The Intel Core 2 Extreme Mobile Computer Processor is a new line of dual core processor that is designed with both power and energy efficiency for mobile computers. These processors, unlike the Core 2 Extreme Processors for desktops, have only two independent cores.

It uses new 64-bit architecture which enables twice the amount of information that the CPU can process at a time. It also features a Digital Thermal Sensor that is embedded in the CPU that measures the temperature to optimize the operation of the processor. The Core 2 Extreme Mobile series also have Wide Dynamic Execution which improves the execution speed and efficiency of the processor, and Virtualization Technology which allows one computer to operate as multiple “virtual” platforms.
