The dual-core, 45nm, 64-bit CPU clocks in at 3.06 GHz, and features an L2 cache of 6 MB. The unit is a minor step up from the T9800, which clocks in at 2.93 GHz, but is otherwise nearly identical. Although Intel planned to keep T-series TDP values under 30 W, this unit has a TDP of 35 W. To older Centrino models, the T9900 adds SSE4.1 support and a higher front side bus speed of 1066 MHz. After a short delay, Montevina CPUs were released in July 2008. This model is unavailable at retail.
