Intel Core 2 Duo SP9400

$284.00 Released July, 2008

Product Shot 1The Core 2 Duo SP9400 is the second-tier model in Intel's SP series of mobile processors, based on a fifth-generation Centrino core, codenamed Montevina. The dual-core, 45nm, 64-bit CPU clocks in at 2.40 GHz, and features an L2 cache of 6 MB.

It is a step up from the 2.26GHz SP9300. Compared to T- and P-series models, the three SP-series CPUs are notable for their energy efficiency and small size, all boasting a 25 W TDP and 22mm form factor, promising use in sub-notebooks. To older Centrino models, the SP9400 adds SSE4.1 support and a higher front side bus speed of 1066 MHz. After a short delay, Montevina CPUs were released in July and August 2008.
