The 22mm SL-series CPUs are identical in size to the models in Intel's SP series, a similar line of energy-efficient, low-form-factor CPUs, but have an even lower TDP of 17 W. Additional clock speed, however, is sacrificed to achieve these sub-notebook-friendly specifications. To older Centrino models, the SL9300 adds SSE4.1 support and a higher front side bus speed of 1066 MHz. After a short delay, Montevina CPUs were released in July and August 2008.
