Its L2 cache memory is 3MB, and this is shared between the processor's two cores to reduce time exchanging information between the two. It has Intel's HD Boost technology which allows the processor to keep up with high-definition video or video editing, or other HD applications. It is also supposed to make more efficient use of power to prolong laptop battery life and of system memory bandwidth. It is designed to run numerous applications at once without harming performance. The P8000 series of processors have the same technology as the higher-ranked P9000 processors, only due to overall speed and L2 cache quantity.
