Although Intel planned to keep T-series TDP values under 30 W, this unit has a TDP of 35 W. Intel's higher-end T-series models, like the T9000 line, offer 45nm lithography as well as virtualization technology, among other features the T5800 lacks. After a short delay, the T5800 was released in July 2008 with other Montevina models, solely as an OEM processor.
