Product Shot 1The Intel Atom Z540 is a 45nm single core processor intended primarily for use in netbooks, nettops, and mobile internet devices. As a part of Intel's Z-series, the processor aims to provide the same performance levels as current generation processor but with much more energy efficiency.

The processor has a max TDP of 2.4 watts which allows for a significantly longer lifespan out of a single battery charge than another processor with the same specifications. The Intel Atom Z540 has a clock speed of 1.86 Ghz, 512k cache, and 533 Mhz FSB speed (memory), and is compatible only with 32-bit versions of operating systems.
