Dual mode is a feature which when using two identical sticks of RAM, enables one stick to be freed up while the other is working. This is made possible by having access to two streams of RAM at once. Owing to it's price vs performance ratio, this line of processors is the main competition for Intel's Core and Core 2 Duo series in the mobile computer market. PowerNow! is an energy saving feature similar to Intel's Cool'n'Quiet which reduces CPU speed during idle time, extending the life and also reducing power consumption. Combined with integrated graphics, this line of processors can rival Intel's performance in laptops.
