The Pros:Dual DDR2 Memory Controller(frees up valuable Ram). Cheaper alternative to Intel CPU's. PowerNow! Power saving technology minimizes power consumption in idle mode.
The Cons:TL-60 is the only processor in this family that can run the full DDR2-667 memory speed.
The AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-56 is an entry level, 1.8 GHz dual core processor designed for mobile computers. Earlier offerings of this CPU were based on 90-nm Silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology which has since been changed to a 65-nm Silicon-Germanium core(as of May 2007).

This more efficient technology uses less power and has less heat dissipation, allowing for slimmer profile notebook design. The basic architecture is based on the AMD Athlon 64 processors which were themselves based on AMD's legendary K8 technology. One major improvement aside from the dual core CPU would be the dual channel DDR2 Memory controller which frees up valuable Ram as well as reduces load on the CPU(identical pairs of Ram are required to run in dual channel mode). These processors compete with Intel mobile processors Intel Core and Intel Core 2.
