AMD Phenom X4 9550
$200.00
Released March, 2008
The Pros:Lacks the TLB (Translation Look-aside Buffer) issue inherent in previous generation Phenom chips. Very stable performer at stock clock speeds.
The Cons:95W TDP isn't very impressive compared to newer 45nm chips. Stock fan/heatsink aren't the greatest, requiring an aftermarket upgrade. Completely outdated even as a low-end part by newer AM3 Athlon/Phenom processors.
The AMD Phenom X4 9550 is the predecessor to the earlier 9500. Based on the B3 core revision that eliminates the detrimental TLB bug that plagued the earlier line the 9550 is identical to the model it replaced in every other way.

Price point isn't quite the deal it once was, it still costs about the same due to limited availability.
