AMD Phenom X4 9150e

$175.00 Released July, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Best TDP of any AMD quad core (65W). Fairly cheap. Good power at a budget price.

The Cons:Somewhat difficult to find. Hard to find at a reasonable price. The only problem is no over clocking period.

The AMD Phenom X4 9150e continues AMD's efficient line of processors, reserving itself at a merely decent 1.8GHz in order to maintain a 65W thermal envelope (TDP). In comparison to other quad and even triple core processors which operate with a TDP of 95W, the 9150e falls within the range of heat and energy expenditure of most dual core CPUs.

cyborg1024: #amd_phenom_x4_9150e Fast, low power and energy efficient. Boots Win 7 in 30 seconds and handles multitasking without breaking a sweat. Not the fastest for video encoding in my tests but an all around green HTPC. Dec 9, 10
