The AMD Fusion E-Series E-240 is a processor designed to combine general processing power with graphics processing for notebooks. This is the predecessor in the series to the AMD Fusion E-Series E-350, which has dual cores and is clocked slightly faster.

The design of both enables smooth playback of full-screen HD video, and enough processing power to support casual gaming with a low energy draw on the battery. The processor is clocked at 1.5 GHz with a single core handling most general processes, and 80 separate Radeon cores set aside to process graphics at 500 MHz. The system can process DirectX 11 graphics, and draws a total of 18 watts of power.
