Product Shot 1The Athlon XP 3200 was the top-of-the-line model in AMD's fifth generation of processors, codenamed Barton, released in early 2003 but now generally obsolete. Barton CPUs doubled the L2 cache size of their predecessors to bring it to 512 KB.

The original XP 3200 clocks in at 2.20 GHz, with a front side bus speed of 400 MT/s and 76.8W TDP. An updated model released several months later clocks in at 2.33 GHz, with a 333MT/s FSB and 79.2W TDP. All models support MMX, SSE, and Enhanced 3DNow! technology.
