The AMD Athlon X2 5800+ is a high end dual core CPU from AMD. Running at 3.0GHz, the CPU has a 89W TDP while still being based on the cooler 65nm Brisbane core. Not really required for simple every-day tasks, the 5800+ is a good pick for those interested in gaming, encoding or utilizing a great deal of cpu power on a budget.
