AMD Athlon II X2 255
$89.00
Released June, 2009
The Pros:Includes heatsink/fan in box, good value for the price. Receptive to overclocking, can add about 0.5GHz to the stock speed. Stock cooler effectively keeps temperatures bearable even at OC'd speeds.
The Cons:Only two potential cores, no unlockable ones (sometimes can be found at this price point). Not ideal for gaming, tends to slow down framerates.
